Bryan C. Taylor grew up in small-town Kentucky, where his dreams of becoming a writer began at an early age. His craft had its origins on an ancient Dell desktop, where he tapped away stories about everything from pirates to his Papaw. A lot has changed since then — Bryan moved to a larger (albeit slightly) town in Kentucky, and upgraded from the old Dell to a new iMac — but the dream has always stayed the same.
Bryan has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, both from the University of Kentucky. He was married for five years before his late wife, Kailen, passed away from breast cancer in 2015 at the age of 25. Bryan now lives in Frankfort with his dog, Rupp. He spends his days working as a pharmacist, and, in lieu of sleep, his nights and early-mornings relentlessly pursuing his dream.
He has completed a memoir about Kailen, entitled Even if you don’t, which is scheduled to release in February 2018. His debut novel, King’s Ransom, will also publish in 2018, most likely during the summer.
Bryan maintains a blog about grief and grief topics, where he seeks to teach others the lesson that Kailen taught him — that life can be a fairytale, even when it’s a tragedy.
